Violet purple in color with a brown reflection. Fruity in the nose with aromas of ripe fruit such as raspberry and strawberry. In the mouth a nice balance between refinement and freshness. Also good to drink chilled, fresh style Tempranillo.
Tempranillo is Spain's most important blue grape variety. It has a thick skin and medium acidity. Although it needs enough heat to develop its flavours, a hot climate can leave the wine with insufficient acidity for an ideal balance. This lighter (modern style) tempranillo is very popular in Spain.
The name Aresan is derived from the founders Koppel; Arena & Sanchez. The 160 hectare vineyard is easily accessible and is located 230 kilometers from Alicante, Valencia and Madrid. Thanks to the geographically favorable location at 750 meters altitude and the climate it is possible for Aresan to grow their grapes 100% organically. In addition, no animal proteins are used to filter the wine, which also makes it a 100% vegan wine. Castillo de Aresan mainly produces red wines, only 15% of the grapes are used to make white wine. Both the vinification and the bottling process take place on our own domain.
